Windham is beautiful during the holidays and what is better than attending the Windham Holiday Festival on December 12th? The evening begins at 4:30 p.m. and is followed by the Annual Tree Lighting and Christmas carols at 6 p.m. located at Centre Church.
There will be snow covering the building tops and horse drawn carriages lined up down main street offering rides to children and families. Don’t miss sharing your Christmas list to Santa and the elves while listening to the Windham Ashland Jewett High School Band and Chorus sing memorable Christmas carols throughout the town.
Many of the stores stay open late during the Windham Holiday Festival and offer furniture, jewelry, candles, a brewery and many types of restaurants.
If you want to get an early start, the festival’s craft fair runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the WAJ school building. One of the local’s favorite items at the craft fair is raw wildflower honey from Maplecrest Valley Apiary. Another is “The Pickle Man” offering many different types of kosher, barrel cured, bread and butter, and sour garlic pickles. Don’t forget to test your taste buds by trying The Pickle Man’s favorite award-winning horseradish pickles. The Windham Chamber also will be holding a raffle during the craft fair and all the proceeds will be awarded to graduating seniors at WAJ.
If you’re looking for a great place to stay and ski during the festival, don’t miss out on our Mid-Week Ski Getaway, which includes lodging, 2 mid-week lift passes to Windham or Hunter Mountain, complimentary breakfast and more. Book Today!
